Compare it to other expansions and you'll start to understand why people say it was short. This was longer than Ossus (but not nearly as much as you seem to think, the story on Ossus is longer than Manaan, Elom is what pushes it over), but Ossus wasn't an expansion. But everyone saying “oh my god I can’t play this game anymore I’m canceling and uninstalling”, I just seriously don’t understand.
Could I see how some people could dislike some things? Sure. Galactic season 2 is also really cool and I’m digging it so far, seems like they have some ways to keep things new and not be a same thing day in day out grindfest. It looks minimalistic and modern, and I’m a fan. But the character creator, and other in-game menus, I actually really liked the changes. It really helps to keep the game fresh and allows me to experience my favorite characters in new ways.Īnd lastly there’s the UI, and yeah the main menu icons are pretty bad. I also really like what they did with combat styles and load outs. With getting rid of mod-able armor, eliminating set bonuses, cleaning up discipline trees, cleaning up the abilities, it’s great and eliminates so much bloat and over-complicated mechanics. I also love what they did to simplify the game. I agree not worthy of the “expansion” moniker but it wasn’t insanely short either. I played at a leisurely pace and it took me 4-5 hours.
People said it lasted 1.5-2 hours, honestly don’t know how unless you were 100% stealthing and skipping cutscenes.
